It is the crowd it brings in. Everyone, including the staff, is extremely friendly and the rooms are perfect for those who don’t want to spend all day in them. Hotel Shelley’s guests can avoid the crowds at Lummus Park public beach and get a glimpse of a more diverse side of Miami by heading south, to the beach area below Second Street. Topless bathing is permitted at the beach.
The South Beach Group shuttle picks up guests every odd hour from Miami International Airport and every even hour from the Chesterfield Hotel returning to the airport. The shuttle picks up guests at the top floor, departures, Terminal G, under sign for Hotel Shuttle. Due to new airport security regulations, the shuttle cannot sit at the hotel shuttle stop for a long period. While standing at the shuttle stop location please raise your hand so that the driver knows to stop for you. The vans are recognizable; a huge SOUTH BEACH GROUP logo is located on both sides.
