This white Georgian column-fronted building, (typical of the Pimlico area in which it is set), was built in 1851 and became a hotel in 1950. It was built as a private house by William Chinnery Mitchell; the current family owners are his direct descendants. Westminster Cathedral and Abbey and the Houses of Parliament and are less than one mile away. Rooms have either a red or green color scheme with William Morris- esque patterned bedspreads; all have cable television, complimentary toiletries and tea/coffee making facilities.
Guests can relax with a drink in one of the deep armchairs in the lounge. The small shop stocks a range of essentials as well as souvenirs and gifts.
