The beachfront La Cohoba Hotel, bordered by coconut palms and sea grape trees, consists of a cluster of Creole-style bungalows and Colonial houses nestling among lush, tropical gardens on the tiny Guadelupian island of Marie Galante. Modern décor echoing traditional Creole style in vibrant blues and yellows features in the 100 air-conditioned guestrooms, each of which open out onto their own private patio and include direct-dial phones, televisions and safes.
Guests can soak up the Caribbean sunshine on the terraces around the outdoor swimming pool and sample exotic fruit juices and rum cocktails at the bar. The restaurant offers buffet breakfast on the poolside terrace andŕ la carte West Indian specialties accompanied by music at lunch and dinner. Informed staff can provide tour advice and local information and the hotel organises excursions to local attractions.
