The 86-room Hotel Montgomery is a treasure of San Jose that dates back to 1911. To date, over $15 million has been invested towards the historic renovation, a seismic retrofitting, and the extraordinary feat of relocating the hotel 186 feet south of its previous location. The building’s striking Renaissance Revival architecture integrates design elements from Spanish and Beaux Arts traditions, which marry strikingly with the casual elegance and amenities that have today’s traveler in mind.
